1.Product introduction
Bentonite dryer is a key equipment specially used to remove free water and interlayer water in bentonite raw ore or processing intermediate products. Bentonite has the characteristics of strong water absorption, high viscosity and water expansion. Its natural moisture content is usually 25 % ~ 40 %. After drying, the moisture content is required to be reduced to 8 % ~ 12 % to meet the needs of different industrial applications. The bentonite dryer produced by our company adopts a high-efficiency rotary cylinder structure, combined with a special anti-sticking copy board and a hot air circulation system, which can quickly and evenly reduce the moisture content of the material, while maintaining the montmorillonite content and colloid value of bentonite. The equipment has the characteristics of high thermal efficiency, anti-sticking, stable product quality and low energy consumption. It is an ideal drying equipment for bentonite deep processing industry.

2.Working principle
Wet bentonite ( block or powder ) is uniformly fed into the feed end of the dryer cylinder by crushing and feeding device. The cylinder is installed at an inclined angle of 3 % ~ 5 %, and is driven by a transmission device to rotate at a suitable speed. There is a specially designed combined lifting plate and anti-sticking cleaning device inside the cylinder. The bentonite is continuously copied and scattered to form a loose material curtain and increase the contact area with the hot air.
The hot air is produced by a hot blast stove ( which can use heat sources such as coal, natural gas, biomass fuel or steam waste heat ), and enters the cylinder from the feed end or the discharge end ( usually downstream to avoid high temperature damage to bentonite activity ). The hot air and wet bentonite carry out strong convective heat transfer, and the water evaporates rapidly. The water vapor produced by evaporation is discharged with the exhaust gas, and it is discharged after treatment by the dust removal system ( cyclone dust removal + bag dust removal or wet dust removal ).
Bentonite moves along the axial direction in the barrel, and undergoes preheating, rapid drying and deceleration drying stages in turn. In view of the characteristics of bentonite which is easy to stick to the wall, a self-cleaning scraping device and a discontinuous lifting plate are arranged in the cylinder to effectively prevent the material from sticking and blocking. The dried bentonite is discharged from the discharge end, and the finished product is obtained after cooling, grinding and grading.

Has high thermal efficiency and significant energy saving. Using thermal insulation cylinder to reduce heat loss ; the layout of the lifting plate is optimized, the residence time of the material is prolonged, and the heat exchange area is increased. The waste heat of the exhaust gas can be recycled for preheating the combustion air, and the comprehensive thermal efficiency is greatly improved compared with the traditional dryer.
Anti-sticking and anti-blocking, reliable operation. In view of the characteristics of high viscosity and easy agglomeration of bentonite, special anti-sticking reading plate and self-cleaning structure are adopted in the barrel, combined with wall vibration or scraping device, to effectively avoid material adhesion to the inner wall and block the channel, so as to ensure long-term continuous and stable operation.
The finished product has good quality and activity retention. The drying temperature can be accurately controlled according to the characteristics of bentonite, so as to avoid the destruction of montmorillonite crystal structure at high temperature, and effectively retain the activity indexes such as colloid valence, expansion capacity and cation exchange capacity of bentonite.
Environmental protection standards, low dust emissions. The system runs in micro negative pressure, with good sealing and no dust overflow. It is equipped with a secondary dust removal device ( cyclone + bag ), and the emission concentration is better than the national environmental protection standard.
